In February, MSA member store Douglass Appliance got a quick makeover that made a tremendous difference to this independent family-owned business. BrandSource and Whirlpool teamed up to offer small appliance retailers an opportunity to win their 2015 Maytag Takeover, a contest that awards a $1,500 store refresh.
Despite record snow in their area (Douglass Appliance Center is located in the Boston area), the team from BrandSource and Whirlpool, along with help from the store’s owners and staff, completed the makeover project in less than 24 hours. The finished product? A place the Douglass family says feels more like home for their customers, making appliance shopping nicer and decision making easier.
