At the heart of MSA is a dedication to service and support—especially for our communities. We’re proud sponsors of organizations that make the people they serve safer, healthier, and happier. Read more about some of our charitable efforts below or at the Marcone website.

HEROES Care
HEROES Care is a network of national charities providing comprehensive care to military members and their families. Through a system of one-on-one help, military families receive services before, during, and after deployment. Emergency financial aid, mental health care, and job placement are just a few of the threads in the safety net HEROES Care creates for those who dedicate their lives to keeping the country safe.

We partnered with this group in 2013 in keeping with Marcone’s longstanding commitment to military non-profit organizations. And with the help of our customers, vendors, and staff, we successfully raised over $25,000 for HEROES Care in just under six months. At the 2014 Marcone Servicers Association Convention, HEROES Care representatives Jon Jerome and Dave Woolley presented Marcone CEO Jim Souers with a commemorative American flag that had been flown in Afghanistan on the 10th anniversary of the September 11th World Trade Center attacks, as a token of thanks for Marcone’s dedication to the group.

“We cannot do what we do without the support of those who see value in our mission. It is with heartfelt gratitude that we honor the leadership and associates of Marcone for their outstanding support of military families. Thank you for providing help and hope when it is needed most.”

—HEROES Care Vice Chairman, Dave Woolley

Ronald McDonald House Charities
Since 1974, RMHC has been providing “homes away from home” to families of kids undergoing long-term treatment for serious illness or injury. Marcone’s involvement with Ronald McDonald Houses across North America combines both financial and volunteer support. We’ve been raising money for RMH for more than six years, contributing approximately $165,000 over that time. And staff at Marcone’s 52 North American locations regularly visit their local Houses to cook dinner for and get to know the resident families through the Cooks for Kids program.

As the title sponsor at the annual Kids & Clays sporting tournament fundraiser, Marcone has helped RMH to raise over $6 million to date through this event. President Jim Souers is on the board of directors for Ronald McDonald House of St. Louis, while CFO Jim Scheetz serves as Event Chairman for the annual fundraiser bike ride, and Marketing Director Ashley Blaske heads the marketing committee for Kids & Clays.

“Marcone’s generous and continuous support helps us give sick children what they need most…their families.” —Larry Mathieson, CEO of Ronald McDonald House® Southern Alberta.

Fischer House Foundation, Navy League, & United Service Organizations
Fischer House Foundation has served over 180,000 families in the last 23 years by providing “comfort homes” to loved ones of military service members receiving medical care at major military and VA medical centers.

The Navy League’s mission is tri-fold: supporting active duty naval military personnel and their families; advocating to Congress and the American public on the importance of strong sea services; and working with youth through educational programs like the Junior ROTC.

Better known as the USO, this non-profit has served military members since 1941 with a simple mission: “Lift the spirits of America’s troops and their families.”

Since 2010, we’ve contributed more than $42,000 in donations and matched funds to these organizations. In the fall of 2013, Marcone was honored by the Navy League of St. Louis and Missouri Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve for ongoing support of the military.

“From Fischer House to the USO to MSCCN to their military discount and beyond—it is an impressive record.” —Lee Metcalf, MO ESGR Chair and US Navy Retired Rear Admiral.
